About the PTO

​The PTO is an organization of parents and teachers separate from the elementary school created to provide student enrichment, parent and family involvement and parent support. Our PTO provides Black Lake Elementary with fantastic support, that we can only continue with your help.

​

The PTO raises money to fund field trips, emergency preparedness, school assemblies, school events, teacher appreciation, assistance to some of our less fortunate families, and more. Your support with our fundraisers is needed and greatly appreciated.

​

Our PTO is also a route of communication between school staff and parents.  At meetings we are able to share parent opinions with our school principal and teacher representatives as well as hear the needs of the students and staff. Please join us at our monthly meetings.

​

There are no membership dues to be involved in the PTO and there many ways to participate!  Everyone has some type of skills whether you like to plan events, fundraise, coordinate volunteers, work on websites, organize appreciation for our staff, or anything else - you are welcome and we are grateful for your involvement.  There is no specific commitment by being part of the PTO; you can participate as little or as much as you want.
